Gaia Launches AI Phone That Runs Entirely On-Device

Gaia today unveiled the world's first smartphone designed for complete AI sovereignty, built on Galaxy S25 Edge hardware. The device processes AI entirely on-device, eliminating cloud dependency and operating as a full network node. Initially launching in Korea and Hong Kong, the phone leverages Gaia's proprietary AI Platform to run sophisticated AI inference locally.

Unlike traditional AI assistants from Apple and Google, the Gaia AI Phone keeps user data on-device while contributing computational resources to a decentralized network. Users earn token rewards for providing inference capacity to other participants. "We've proven sophisticated AI can run entirely on your device," said CEO Matt Wright, positioning the launch as a challenge to centralized AI models.

This marks Gaia's first major announcement in a planned series for late 2025, as decentralized AI emerges as a competitive alternative to big tech's cloud-based solutions.
